The Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association(GBFA) have elected new national executives to steer the affairs of the association for the next four years.
Abdul Hay Yartey who went unopposed was re-elected as the President for the next four years after pulling 12 out of 12 votes in the association’s congress.
The Vice Presidential seat went to Mr. Charles Owusu-Ansah who was formerly the Organizer. He beat the incumbent Vice President Samuel Adjei by 9 votes to 2.
Mr. George Fausta Baffoe who initialy the Director of Communications, on the other hand was voted into office as the new Treasurer for the association for the next four years.
Mr. Vincent Peace Edwards was also elected as the Association’s New Technical Director during the special Congress.
Present at the elections was President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah, Director General of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi among some high profile dignitaries who graced the occasion.
