The Ghana Police Service has provided an update on their manhunt for two persons who attacked Mr. Maxwell Konadu, the Head Coach of Nsoatreman FC on November 19, 2023, during a game at Sunyani Coronation Park.
One suspect by name Seidu Musah has so far been arrested for being in connection with the assault on Coach Maxwell Konadu.
The suspect Seidu Musah also known as Gaswan and another person who is on the run were the main actors behind the attack on the coach.
While efforts are being made to have the other suspect arrested so he can face justice, the police will keep Seidu Musah in their custody, to assist with the investigation.
“The Police have arrested suspect Seidu Musah alias Gaswan in connection with the attack on the coach of Nsoatreman FC, Mr. Maxwell Konadu. The suspect, together with one other person, currently on the run, attacked the coach during a football game, yesterday, 19th November 2023, at the Sunyani Coronation Park.Suspect Seidu Musah is currently in Police custody assisting the investigation while efforts are still ongoing to get the other suspect arrested to face justice, and we will surely get him.”
The Police Service is poised to bring perpetrators to book in order to serve as a deterrent to other supporters.
