The Ghana Police Service has officially launched a manhunt for two persons who attacked Mr. Maxwell Konadu, the Head Coach of Nsoatreman FC on November 19, 2023, during a game at Sunyani Coronation Park.
The coach needed emergency medical attention because of a head injury sustained in the attack. In an effort to show that they are committed to finding the criminals and bringing the full weight of the law down on them, the police are actively pursuing the suspects.
An official statement released by the Ghana Police Service on the X page confirms their pursuit for the perpetrators of the assault.
“The Police are on a manhunt for two persons who attacked the coach of Nsoatreman FC, Mr. Maxwell Konadu, during a football game, yesterday, 19th November 2023, at the Sunyani Coronation Park.The coach who sustained a head injury during the attack is currently receiving medical attention. We wish to assure the public that we will surely get the suspects arrested to face justice” the statement reads.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has issued a statement condemning the assault carried out by the supporters in addition to that, Bofoakwa Tano has been banned from using the Sunyani Coronation Park as their home venue for the Betpawa Ghana Premier League.
