The Ghana Police Service has offered a Gh¢10,000.00 bounty for a credible information that will lead to the arrest of suspects who vandalised Radio Ada in the Greater Accra Region.
The community radio station was attacked by some macho men on Thursday, January 13, 2022 and assaulted a presenter who was on-air at that time.[ads2]
The thugs with one armed also destroyed the station’s equipment leading to its temporary shut down.
And according to the management of the station, “the attackers openly declared that they had come to vandalise the station because of its Manor Munyu and other programmes discussing the recent developments in the Songor. They threatened to inflict further havoc should the station continue with programmes on the Songor.”

However, the police has urged the staff of Radio Ada, the people of Big Ada and the general public to remain clam as investigations into the attack has commenced.
“The police hereby urge the staff of Radio Ada, people of Big Ada and the general public to remain calm as we continue our investigations into the attack at the Radio Ada station on Thursday, 13 January 2022,” the police said in a statement.[ads4]
“A team of investigators and intelligence officers from the national and regional headquarters are currently supporting the Ada Divisional Command to investigate the incident and get those involved arrested and prosecuted for this barbaric act.”
