Born Richmond Baidoo but popularly known as ‘DJ Champagne’ (September 1990) to Mr. Francis Baidoo and Madam Elizabeth Cudjoe in Elmina, is a radio disc jockey expert currently with Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) networks subsidiary Radio 360 in Takoradi.
DJ Champagne as affectionately called in the media fraternity attended Kansaworado M/A Basic School before gaining admission to Takoradi Technical Institute(TTI) in 2007 and graduated in 2011.
He had his way unto the media industry after winning Skyy Power 93.5 FM’s djing competition in 2011, beating the likes of DJ Berry and DJ Mike in the aforesaid competition.
The Wilsad Support Services media brand (Skyy Power 93.5 FM) saw the potential in him and was signed as a permanent DJ for the 93.5 dial from 2011- 2015.
Champagne later joined the EIB networks subsidiary in Takoradi Radio 360 in 2015 after parting ways with Skyy Power FM.
He is known as the first ever producer for Skyy Power FM’s award winning entertainment show dubbed ‘OC Showbiz Review” in 2015.
In the area of achievement, the delight to listen disc jockey mogul had his name on the Western Music Awards Best Radio DJ Of The Year 2018 nominees list.
DJ Champagne has on three consecutive times named to ‘dj’ Western region’s most celebrated annual concert dubbed Westside Carnival and also as the official ‘dj’ for Skyy Power FM’s ‘Yesu Asor’ carnival show from 2011-2015.
