Benjamin Quansah born in Takoradi in 1980, completed his elementary school at Aboadze/ Abuesi Junior Secondary School before gaining admission to Shama Senior Secondary School in 1993 and completed in 1995.He further went to Sefwi Wiawso Training College in the the year 1996-99 .
He was posted to Dixcove Rubber Estate JSS to teach General Science and Agricultural Science for three years [1999-2001] and was later transferred to New Amanful DC Junior High School, where he taught for three solid years.
He furthered his teaching skills at the University of Winneba in 2005 and completed in 2009 and was posted to Diabene Senior High School. He has served as tutor for Diabene Senior High School from 2009 till date.
However, the radio career of the delight to listen broadcaster started in 2001, where he joined Goodnews 96.3 FM as a Sports pundit. Here in Goodnews, Ben Quansah teamed up with current Aseda 105.9 FM Head Of Sports, Emmanuel Kwesi Koomson and Connect 97.1 FM Political Show anchor, Henry Eliud Yankey to form the most talked about Sports trio in town.He then left the 96.3 FM dial in 2010 to Aseda 105.9 FM, as Head Of Sports.
At Aseda 105.9 FM, Benjamin Quansah formed the invincible squad made up of Emmanuel Kwesi Koomson known by his listeners as “KK 4 SHORT” and Henry Eliud Yankay who was the Public Relations Officer for Sekondi Eleven Wise.
He left Aseda 105.9 FM in 2014, joined Flex FM which was re-branded to current name Connect 97.1 FM, after Media General took over as new owners. Here in Connect FM, Benjamin Quansah doubles as Head of Sports department with the likes of Adomba Kweku Aggrey, Alfred Takyi Mensah, Ampofo Kumi Wilson and Abedi Lan Yankey as team.
Talking of International assignment, Benjamin Quansah was part of the media personals who joined the Black Satellite trip to Dakar [Senegal] for the World Cup qualifier in 2005. He then joined the Black Meteors,for their Olympics games qualifier in Burkina Faso in the same year and furthermore to the next qualifying game in Abidjan in 2006.He was among the media gurus who covered the Black Starlets four nations tournament in 2007 and finally to the awesome 2010 World Cup tournament in South Africa.
In the area of awards, Benjamin Quansah had clinched numerous of accolades which includes West Prime Company Limited overall best journalist in the Western region in the year 2011.
He is currently married to Mrs. Rita Quansah with a kid, Joel who is six years of age.
