President Akufo-Addo has invited the Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah for a meeting at the Jubilee House over Asamoah Gyan’s shocking retirement from the national team.
Information gathered suggests that, the President has scheduled to meet Kwesi Appiah alongside the Black Stars Management Committee, the Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association as well as a delegation from the camp of Asamoah Gyan for a meeting this afternoon.
Gyan announced a shocking retirement from the Black Stars in a statement yesterday and even went ahead to state that, he should be excuse from the AFCON 2019, citing the captaincy issue as the cause.
As a forward for the national team, Gyan managed to score 51 goals in 106 appearances after fourteen years of serving the nation.
Meanwhile, coach Kwesi Appiah instead of 30- provisional squad for the pre-AFCON camping in Dubai, announced a 29 list with names like Majeed Ashmeru, John Antwi Duku all missing from the list.
