The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has made new appointments at the Ghana Armed Forces.

According to a statement from the Communications Directorate at the Presidency, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has been appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff after the retirement of Major General Williams Ayamdo.

Per the statement, the President made the new appointments in consultation with the Council of State.
