Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has hinted on the current government establishing a national sports fund to help improve Ghana sports.
Soliciting money for the national fund will not be a big deal since they will fetch revenues from the betting companies, the national lottery and host of corporate entities.
“The NDC administration led by John Mahama is committed to establishing a national sports fund.
Revenue from sports betting, the national lottery, corporate sponsorship and tourism levies will be channelled directly into sports development. In addition, we are working to expand broadcasting rights for local leagues, encouraging partnership with digital platforms to encourage monetising Ghanaian sports content.” He told Joy Sports.
