StarTimes spent a whooping $3,500 on each of the 35 Ghana Premier League games covered during the truncated 2019/2020 Season.
A report carried by Angel FM revealed the right holders spent a mammoth $122,500 on coverage of the invalidated season.
The Ghana Football Association Executive Council met on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 and after the meeting which was believed to have lasted for over 3 hours, the decision was to call the season null and void putting most clubs in a disappointed state.

StarTimes, believe to have agreed on a coverage right cost of $10m for the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup competitions has been recounting its loses for the season according to Angel FM’s report.
The Chinese-based company is currently spreading wide its wings across the African continent and has been in Ghana since 2018.

The company bided alongside state-owned Ghana Television(GTV) and came up victors.
It’s now unknown the actions to be taken by the broadcast right holders and the Ghana Football Association on the way forward of the country’s club football.
A statement released by the GFA revealed the Executive Council will meet on Thursday, July 9 to make a decision for the future.
The GFA has been unable to complete a season since the 2016/2017 Season.
Aduana Stars were winners of the Ghana Premier League and Asante Kotoko beat rivals Hearts of Oak to win the FA Cup title in the 2016/2017 Season.
