Black Queens have targeted friendly encounters with several clubs and regional select sides across the nation to fine-tune preparations ahead of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
The 11th edition of the Total African Women’s Cup of Nations will kick start on November 17 to December 1.
The Coach Bashiru Hayford and his lasses in a proposal to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Liaison team set September 9, as starting date for the friendlies.
The host of the AWCON 2018 will play National Women’s League side, Sea Lions on September 9 before a trip to Western Region to play the region’s select side the following day.
The 2018 WAFU Champions will proceed to the Ashanti Region and to the Brong Ahafo Region to play two teams before wrapping the friendlies up at the Northern Region.

The playing body, 32 in number, including Sandra Owusu Ansah, Grace Asantewaa, Justice Tweneboah and Philicity Asuako from the 2018 Black Princesses team and also Northern Oklahoma College graduate, Gifty Ayew Asare, the latest player to join the team will make the trip to Cape Coast.
The 2018 AWCON starts on November 17 and ends on December 1.
