The founder and board chairman of Quick Credit, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has announced that the company will no longer be conducting house-to-house loan recovery operations.
The decision, disclosed during Quick Credit’s annual gathering at the Conference Center in Accra on Sunday, stems from feedback received from various stakeholders.
“We have received numerous feedback on our field activities from our customers, the general public, and our regulator over the past year,” Mr. Quaye stated. I am thrilled to announce that we have decided to dissolve the house-to-house recovery department of the company. We will no longer be visiting clients for recovery ever again.”
Over the past year, Quick Credit has drawn attention to itself because of the actions of its loan recovery officers. Social media videos have shown these officers getting into arguments with customers who had fallen behind on their loan payments.
It is expected that the decision to stop house-to-house recovery operations will lead to better relationships between Quick Credit and its customers.
