Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has learned he faces fresh competition for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Perez is prepared to offer €200m to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sign Kane – but also knows he will have to overcome stiff competition to win the striker’s signature.
Manchester United were linked with Kane in Marca over the weekend – but it is Manchester City’s interest which has now reached Perez’s desk.
Diario Gol says intermediaries have warned Perez that City boss Pep Guardiola is also keen on Kane and approved a massive move for the England international.
Indeed, City are prepared to outbid Real both in terms of a fee and a contract offer to convince Kane to remain in England this summer.
For his part, Kane won’t rush into anything and won’t rule out even staying at White Hart Lane.
