As per AS, Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, arrived in Paris earlier today. It is anticipated that he will have lunch with Emmanuel Macron, the president of France.
This morning at 9.30 am, Emilio Butragueno, the director of institutional relations for Real Madrid, accompanied Perez upon his arrival at Le Bourget airport, located on the outskirts of Paris.
The subject of Kylian Mbappe and his probable participation in the Olympic Games in Paris may have come up during the meeting between the president of France and the Real Madrid chief.
Real Madrid is rumored to be unwilling to allow the Frenchman to compete in the Olympics, but Macron had declared in recent weeks that he would attempt to persuade Mbappe’s new team to allow him to compete.
In a letter to the French Football Federation, Real Madrid already declared that they would not release any of their French players for the Olympics if they had participated in the European Championship first.
As a result, Macron and Perez may meet in the coming hours to resolve the issue. Macron wants to bring the best team possible to the Olympics.
If all goes as planned, Mbappe will soon be a Real Madrid player after bidding farewell to PSG earlier this month.
However, there might be issues with that because the French star’s deal with PSG expires on June 30 and he needs to report to the national team camp shortly after the season ends.
