Owner of Skyy FC, Wilson Arthur has revealed a thought provoking issue regarding refereeing in the local league. The media magnate disclosed that referees in our local league are put under spells which is why they mostly come under pressure. The spells also distort them to take bribes.
He said it is not always the referees but the players and coaches as well. Mr. Arthur said he witnessed such incident where a spell was cast during a match in which he was the victim. He said,
“Referees are always put under a spell. The referees are worked on, and the players and coaches are worked on spiritually. For instance, I was asked to leave my seat while watching a match because I was told my team had been put under a spell. The moment I left my seat, we scored a goal.
Personally, I don’t believe these things, but there are weird things in football.” He concluded during an interview on Asempa FM.
