Hearts of Oak earlier announced that, the club has released five of their players namely; Joseph Esso, Benjamin Agyare, Christopher Bonney, Bernard Arthur and Abubakar Traore.

A publication from the club explained that, the five players have been shown the exit doors after refusing to extend their contracts with the club.
An unconfirmed news reaching www.kyfilla.com indicate that, management of the Accra-based side have given the five players till Monday to return the club’s kits in their possession.
The reports further reveal that, the said players received only GH¢50.00 as transportation fee after meeting with the management of the club.
