Asante Kotoko Sporting Club owe players four months unpaid salaries per several reports in the Kumasi media.
The Porcupine Warriors had a torrid season and finished fourth with 52 points.
Kumasi-based Fox FM reported that the players are yet to receive their four months unpaid salaries.
Former head coach Seydou Zerbo is also owed.
Speaking to FOX FM, the Burkinabe trainer confirmed that Kotoko has not settled his arrears. He also revealed that Nana Yaw Amponsah, who appointed him, declined his calls. Meanwhile, Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management has been dissolved following its expiration.
The 12-member board of directors, whose mandate has also expired, will present their report to Manhyia later today.
A reorganized management and board are expected to be unveiled before the season starts. With the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League set to begin, Asante Kotoko are currently without a substantive head coach.
However, the team will return to camp for pre-season training ahead of the upcoming season.
