The Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has urged Ghanaians to respect the safety measures put in place by the government and the Ghana Health Service to mitigate the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

The world has become a standstill due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus which is killing millions across the globe.
Ghana has not been spared of the pandemic as the West African country has currently recorded 2169 cases with 229 recoveries and 18 deaths.

As part of measures to control the spread of the disease, the Ghana Health Service has laid down protocols like washing the hands with soap under running water, avoiding handshaking, using of alcohol based hand rub, keeping of social distance, wearing of nose masks among others.
Speaking during his tour at the Sekondi Sports Stadium, the Atwima Mponua legislator urged Ghanaians to adhere to the precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“I want to add my voice to the citizens to respect Covid-19 protocols. Wash your hands with soap under running water, avoid handshaking, use hand sanitizers as often as possible especially anytime you touch money. Money is critical, so anytime you touch money please wash your hands”, he said.
“Also, cover your mouth with tissue whenever you sneeze or cough. Use face or nose masks when your are in public.
“Let’s work hard to defeat this pandemic so that we will return back to our sporting activities”, he added.
