Head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, Reverend Owusu has been remanded into police custody for one week.
This was when he was arraigned before court on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Making his first appearance before an Accra Circuit Court on Monday, the popular pastor was charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and threat of death.[ads2]
The renowned peacher was arrested and three others were arrested for assaulting police officers.
The three others are Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum.

The four were arrested for the “creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, and the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some police personnel”.[ads3]
According to a statement issued by the police on Sunday, September 12, 2021, and signed by its acting Director of Public Affairs, ACOP Kwesi Ofori, Reverend Owusu Bempah and the three other suspects were arrested “after critically analyzing the said videos and based on intelligence gathered”.
They were denied bail at court today and have been put on remanded for a period of seven days.
Meanwhile, the injured police personnel have been given medical treatment.[ads5]
