The Confederation of African Football has released 10 man shortlists for the African Player of the Year award.
Ghana’s Thomas Partey was among the first 34 players nominated for the prestigious award but has been dropped after the 10 man shortlists was released today by CAF.
Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Riyad Mahrez were all on the 10 man shortlists competing for the award.
The number would be prune to three before the final ceremony in January 2019 at Dakar, Senegal.
Below is the 10 man shortlists vying for the prestigious award;

2. Andre Onane ( Cameroon & Ajax)
3. Anis Badri ( Tunisia & Esperance)
4. Dennis Onyango ( Uganda & Mamelodi Sundowns)
5. Mehdi Benatia ( Morocco & Juventus)
6. Mohammed Salah ( Egypt & Liverpool)
7. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang ( Gabon & Arsenal)
8. Riyad Mahrez ( Algeria & Manchester City)
9. Sadio Mane ( Senegal & Liverpool)
10. Walid Soliman ( Egypt & Al Ahly)
