Ancelotti enters his final year as Madrid boss and will travel to Brazil next year to take command of the Copa America. Brazil’s chief, Rodrigo Rodriguez, has confirmed plans for his team following Tite’s departure after the 2022 World Cup. Fernando Diniz will be at the helm as interim coach for a year and will combine that work with his role as Fluminense manager.
Goal.com says Ancelotti will take over when his current contract with Real Madrid expires in 2024. “His (Diniz’s) game plan is almost identical to Ancelotti’s game plan, who will lead the Copa America,” said Rodriguez. “We don’t call him interim coach of the national team. He will come to Brazil and join Ancelotti.” Seleção will play in five World Cup qualifiers later this year, from September to November.
Copa America is scheduled for June and July 2024. Ancelotti will remain in his newly appointed position until the competition begins. Many of Brazil’s top stars have already said they want Ancelotti as their next coach. Neymar said he believes the Italian coach “will teach us a lot”, while Vinicius Jr. added that Madrid’s manager is the top manager in the world and would like to work with him on the international stage.

Real Madrid are already considering replacing Ancelotti with former Liverpool, Madrid, and Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso. Alonso, who currently manages Bayer Leverkusen, is considered by the club as a potential replacement next summer.
