Forward Richard Arthur provided a late penalty as Saint George FC pipped first placed Enderta FC 1-0 in game week 22 of the Ethiopian top-flight league.
Saint George failed to register a goal despite creating numerous goal scoring opportunities in the closely played first half.
Mekelle 70 Enderta posed real scare in the opening minutes of the second half.
The former Ghana Premier League winner with Wa All Stars was felled in the second half late in the game which was turned in beautifully to end the game 1-0 for the host.
The win takes Saint George FC to the third position with 37 points after 22 games, 3 points behind Fasil Katema in the second place and 5 points behind Mekelle 70 Enderta.
