Richmond Lamptey, a midfielder for Asante Kotoko, is rumored to have caught the attention of Al Ta’awon of Libya.
Although the player was fortunate enough to be included in Chris Houghton’s squad for the AFCON, he hardly appeared in any games as Ghana unexpectedly lost the tournament.
Lamptey has been playing well for the Porcupine Warriors, who are third in the standings of the Ghana Premier League. He played a leading role in the club’s resurgence this season.
Lamptey has been in fine form in the Ghana Premier League this season, playing a leading role in Asante Kotoko’s form in the first half of the campaign. Right now, Asante Kotoko is holding out for a better offer from the Lybian group.
On the contrary, Lamptey is expected to join his Kotoko teammates this week as preparations begin for the second half of the season.
