Real Tamale United has been fined GHC 100,000 for fielding unregistered players in a 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC.
In their last league game against Dreams FC, Dawu, the club played an unregistered team and lost 8-1.
The registered players boycotted the game over unpaid salary and incentives.
In addition to the penalty, the club officials who directed the squad throughout the Dreams match have been banned for 12 months, effective immediately. Theses officials are; Coach Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Team Doctor Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Team Manager Tanko Jentumah, Equipment Officer Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, and Goalkeepers’ Trainer Sylvester Yaw Apanka.
Following their relegation, RTU will play Division One League football next season.
