Released former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player, Samuel Appiah Kubi has apologized for his unprintable comments he made on the current head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
Appiah Kubi accused the 47- year old gaffer for indulging in favouritism when selecting players for matches and using of abusive words on the players.
He however, continued that, Akonnor is technically bankrupt but takes delight in insulting the players during training sessions and matches.
The former Nkoranza Warriors player has, on a second thought apologized for the harsh words used on C.K Akonnor and has asked the entire Asante Kotoko fraternity to forgive him.
“I said a lot of things in my earlier interview which I deem wrong.The words I said were very harsh and I sincerely apologise for all I said”, he said it on Kumasi FM.
” There have been pressure from every corner on me and upon a second thought, I want everyone; coach CK Akonnor,the players and the management to forgive me”
“I’ve personally called C.K Akonnor and have apologise to him, and I will plead with the entire Asante Kotoko supporters, management and the people of Nkoranza to forgive me.
Appiah Kubi joined Asante Kotoko from Nkoranza Warriors in 2017 and was at the bench throughout his stay with the Kumasi based team which enabled his released last week.
