An ardent fan of Liverpool has been reported dead after the team’s historic victory over FC Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final at Anfield yesterday.
The avid Ghanaian supporter of the English Premier League side with the name, Hebert Danso Atiko and a native of Akwatia in the Eastern region was pronounced dead after an intense jubilation.
Mr. Danso Atiko who happens to be a final year Engineering student at the Akwatia Secondary and Technical School, collapsed after center referee for the wary encounter Cuynet Cakil blew the final whistle.
Eyewitness told Kyfilla.com that, he over jubilated and subsequently collapsed after the unimaginable 4:0 victory by his team, Liverpool. He was rushed to the Akwatia St. Dominic’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Liverpool after the historic victory over the Spanish Laliga giant have qualified for the finals of the UEFA Champions League and will either meet Tottenham Hotspurs or Ajax Amsterdam at the Wanda Metroplitano in Spain.
