Samuel Amissah, a defender for Fulham Under-21s, has been called up to the England Under-17 squad for the European Championships in Cyprus this month.
Throughout the season, Amissah has made significant contributions to both our Under-18 and Under-21 teams. The adaptable defender participated in the Three Lions U17s’ March Euro Qualifiers after making his debut with the team in October of last year.
England get their campaign underway on Tuesday evening, facing France in their group opener. The 17-year-old defender has also played in the U-18 Premier League, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy, PL2 Playoffs, and Premier League 2.
Amissah has also played for the Brentford youth team.
After facing Portugal on Friday, May 24, Amissah and his Three Lions teammates will play Spain on Monday, May 27, to wrap up the group stages.
The Euros Under-17 Championship begins in Cyprus today, Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
