Ghanaian defender Samuel Inkoom has put pen to paper for Bulgarian top-tier side Dunav 2010 Ruse on a short term basis.
The former FC Basel right-back was given the chance to play football again after FIFA lifted its worldwide ban on him due to failure on the part of the player to settle his former agent Wilmer Curtis on a transfer back in 2014.
There were interest from clubs in France and Bulgaria for the signature of the 29- year old as earlier hinted by Kyfilla.com but after negotiations, he has finally decided to revive his career with ‘The Dragons’.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko right-back who featured for Vereya FC in the Bulgarian league – his last club before the FIFA ban in 2016/17 season makes a return but this time around with relegation threatening Dunav 2010 Ruse who lie 12th on the 14-team league table after 20 matches.
He was handed his favorite number 2 jersey and becomes the second player to play for Dunav 2010 Ruse after former Tema Youth midfielder Derrick Mensah.
Inkoom is expecting to make his debut game for his side when the second round of the Bulgarian league resumes on January 17 with an away game against Botev Vratsa at the Stadion Hristo Botev.
