Ghanaian sports personality, Samuel Kofi Larbi popularly known as “Governor” has joined Kumasi based OTEC FM from OilCity Radio in Takoradi.
The versatile sports personality’s transfer to OTEC Fm was announced on Tuesday July 15, 2024.
A welcome post shared by Otec Fm to confirm the news reads “Kofi Larbi (Governor) to OTEC FM. “Here we go”. We have a new member of OTEC Sports. Welcome Kofi”.
Mr Larbi spent over 2 years at OilCity Radio before making the switch to OTEC Fm. He will be on the OTEC Royal Sports show which airs from 7 pm to 10 pm each and every weekday as well as the OTEC weekend sports on Sundays from 9 am to 12 noon.
Having worked with numerous radio stations including, Goodnews Fm, Spice Fm, Kyzz Fm and Abusua Fm to name a few. Mr. Larbi has a wealth of experience in sports journalism that has spanned for a period of 14 years playing different roles such as host, commentator and panelist.
He has demonstrated competence at the highest level of sports journalism by working as the Head Of Sports for Spice Fm, Abusua Fm and OilCity Radio.
Mr Samuel Larbi has covered high profile tournaments like the AFCON and the most recent 2022 Qatar World Cup.
His expertise will be an immense boost to the OTEC Fm’s sports team and at large change the landscape of sports journalism in the Ashanti Region.
The Sports fraternity particularly in Kumasi are waiting with eager breath to experience the sports Governor as he braces himself to stir up the airwaves in Kumasi with the frequency OTEC 102.9 fm.
