On Valentine’s Day, several Ghanaians took to the streets to demonstrate and express their frustration on the poor state of Ghana football.
Journalists and football enthusiasts were emphatic on certain reforms they would like to see as far as Ghana football is concerned.
Amongst the many concerns of the protestors was the call for investment to be made in Ghana’s football so as to raise the bar and catch up with the elite football Nations in the World.
Protestors cited that there are so many avenues and opportunities that present financial gains to the country.
For instance, participation in tournaments like the World Cup and African Cup Of Nations present some financial rewards and as a matter of fact these funds should be invested in football development.
Many have called for these funds to be used in building sporting infrastructure nd improving the standard of the local league.
It bestows on the Sports Ministry and Ghana Football Association to work towards these ideas and concerns for the betterment of Ghana football.
