Shatta Wale, the king of Ghanaian dancehall, has warned his followers after con artists took control of his social media profiles.
Following the takeover of his social media accounts on Twitter and, more recently, Snapchat, Shatta warned his fans to be wary.
He revealed that the con artists were using his likeness to trick gullible people.
In reaction to this unfortunate circumstance, Shatta Wale advised his followers to interact with only verified accounts on Snapchat by sharing his new handle with them.
He stressed that individuals should proceed at their own risk if they initiate interactions with other accounts purporting to be him.
Concerning any fraudulent transactions or dealings made through the prior accounts, Shatta Wale issued a warning, saying he would not accept liability.
