The hospital which is one of the biggest healthcare centres in the Western Region is being raided by thieves due to lack of adequate security.
According to report reaching the office of Kyfilla.com, a gang of thieves three days ago attacked the overnight workers at the hospital with knives where they made away with some valuable items.[ads2]
Per the report, the thieves stormed the hospital at around 1:30am, managed to break into the hospital which lacks adequate security, attacked the nurses and the patience and made away with phones, monies and other valuable items.
The same incident is said to have occurred last night at the same time where a young man expected to be in his late twenties attacked the nurses.
This young man is said to have broken into the hospital trying to rob the nurses at the hospital.
Fortunately for the nurses, a patient’s husband who arrived at the hospital at that hour, managed to chase the thieve out of the hospital without harming or robbing anyone.
The thieve left behind a bag containing items like knives, hammer, slippers and other items.
This is said to have frightened the nurses at the hospital who are calling on authorities for adequate security at the place especially during night hours.
