Former Ghana League Clubs Association Chairman, Alhaji Raji has advised the leadership of Sekondi Eleven Wise to postpone their centenary anniversary.
Eleven Wise would be attaining hundred years in April this year and the management of the club patronage by Nana Kobina Nketsiah V- the Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area, are putting things in place to celebrate their new age.
However, Alhaji Raji who was the Chairman of Congress Planning Committee for the club during their ninety year anniversary believes Eleven Wise are financially not stable and even the current state of the club doesn’t speak well of the team so therefore the anniversary must be postpone.
” Even birthdays are postponed and Eleven Wise must postpone this centenary anniversary.
” I don’t see the reason why at this current state of the club management are thinking of a centenary anniversary meanwhile the playing body alongside the technical bench are not paid. They should be thinking of how to pay the players and the coaching staff.
” Wise are not financially sound and even the state the team find itself doesn’t speak well and we must be thinking about that and not a centenary anniversary”, he told Sekondi based Radio Silver during an interview.
