Management of Division One side,Sekondi Hasaacas have appealed to the Inspector General Of Police, David Asante Apeatu to promote captain Thomas Aboagye to a higher rank after showing a high level of integrity in a bribery scandal.
Sekondi Hasaacas, hosted Samartex FC in Match Day Six of the Ghana Division One League at the Sekondi Sports Stadium on 18th April,2018.
The Samaraboi based team won the encounter by 2:1 to boost Premier League qualification confidence.
But reports reaching www.kyfilla.com indicates that, Samartex FC tried to induce captain of the Sekondi based team Thomas Aboagye who also doubles as a Sargent in the Ghana Police Service.
According to a recorded audio that www.kyfilla.com has in possession reveals that a middleman from the camp of the Samaraboi based team with the name Lincoln called the Captain to offer him 4000 Ghana Cedis if the away team wins the game.
Thomas Aboagye then informed the management of the 1934 club and was told to keep on talking to Lincoln for further information to prove their worth in the court of law.

However,speaking to the media in a press meeting, the management of the 1934 club headed by Samuel Arbuah who also doubles as Acting Chairman for the club have appealed to the government to promote Thomas Aboagye a captain for the team and a Sargent for the Ghana Police Service to a higher rank.
“We want to make a passionate appeal to the IGP to promote our captain for his conduct over this case”, they told the media during a press meeting at Raybow Hotel in Takoradi.
Hasaacas have forwarded the case to the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for investigations.
