Shafiu Mumuni is close to securing a move to Romanian Giants, CFR Cluj, the player has confirmed.
The former Ashantigold Sporting Club forward has been idle despite a stellar campaign for the side in last three years.
He also confirmed that Asante Kotoko has shown the interest to land him for Africa, but his Intermediary handles all those talks.

Shafiu Mumuni confirmed to Wontumi Sports that there are talks with CFR Cluj and had it not been the emergence of Coronavirus, he would have secured a deal long ago.
“I have been in talks with CFR Cluj, I had trained with them and even concluded my medical before the virus emerged. But we are still in talks so if the borders and virus comes under control, I might sign for them.
“I had talks with the technical director of CFR Cluj on what to do during this idle time.
“Yes, my manager has confirmed the Asante Kotoko interest, but we are looking at the CFR Cluj if the time is right we will sign for them” – Shafiu Mumuni told Atta Poku of Wontumi Sports.
Shafiu Mumuni was the skipper of Black Stars B team led by Maxwell Konadu that finished second in the WAFU Cup of Nations at Senegal last year. He won the top scorer of the tournament.
