Sweden-based reports have connected Sheffield Wednesday and other European clubs to a move for Michael Baidoo, a midfielder from Ghana.
FotbollDirekt reported today that the Owls have become fans of Baidoo as he carries over his 2023–2024 form. Danny Röhl might be attempting to recruit Baidoo in advance of Wednesday’s 2024–2025 Championship campaign.
According to the website, the 25-year-old has drawn interest from teams including Maccabi Haifa, Ludogorets, Ferencvaros, Hull City, Middlesbrough, NEC Nijmegen, and Luton Town. Leicester City are also reportedly keeping a watch on him.
With seven goals and seven assists in 12 Allsvenskan games this season, it is hardly surprising that the Ghanaian youth international is starting to catch people’s attention throughout Europe. Nevertheless, some of those rumored to be interested may find Elfsborg’s €3–4 million valuation objectionable.
