A final year student of St. Andrews Senior High School has drowned in an abandoned galamsey pit at Abesewa in Dunkwa-on-offin in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality.
The deceased identified as Bismarck Adakwa, according to reporters, was on his way to collect money from his Uncle at Barrier a suburb of Dunkwa-Offin.[ads2]
Efforts to retrieve the lifeless body have been fruitless but the search party are still searching to find the body of the deceased.
