Simba Sporting Club metamorphic midfielder, James Kotei says the supporters of the club have taken the team like a religion and always rally behind them.
The former Liberty Professionals midfield dynamo speaking on why the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium is always filled to capacity during their home matches stated emphatically that the supporters are passionate about the club both in good and bad times.
” The supporters have taken the team as a religion and have passion for the club no matter the situation, they will fill the stadium for us to win the match”, he told Sekondi based Radio Silver.
Kotei disclosed that some of the supporters collapsed after their 2:1 victory against AS Vita Club at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Tanzania because most of them were astonished to see the team breaking over 20 years genes in the history of an East African club making it to the quarter-final stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The team will host T.P Mazembe in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final stage on Sunday, April 7 before the return leg on April 14, 2019.
