Simba Sporting Club will play Spanish Laliga outfit, Sevilla FC on Thursday, May 23, 2019 and Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The friendly will serve as a wrap up season friendly for the Spanish Laliga outfit before they begin their holidays.
The team arrived in the capital of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam on Tuesday and toured some cultural centers in the city ahead of the friendly.
Simba SC are the defending champions of the Tanzania Premier League and will use the friendly to warm themselves up ahead of the annual MO Simba Awards initiated by the majority shareholder of the club, Mohammed Dewji Gulambass.
The friendly encounter is part of the LaLiga World powered by SportPesa initiative which is a part of the wider LaLiga World Challenge project which aims to promote Spanish football throughout the world, spreading the Spanish Brand, bringing La Liga closer to its followers and promoting La Liga clubs outside of Spain.
Sevilla FC will be the first Spanish club to visit Tanzania to play a friendly and will be the second European club to do so after Everton did in 2017 against Kariobanji Sharks of Kenya.
