Following Jordan Ayew’s hat-trick against the Central African Republic (CAR), Ghanaian singer Sista Afia could not help but be impressed by the striker’s good looks.
The Black Stars defeated the Wild Beasts 4-3 at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, but Ayew was the standout player of the game.
The Crystal Palace forward netted a sensational hat-trick as Otto Addo’s side came from behind to make it two wins from their last two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers following last Thursday’s victory over Mali in Bamako.
Sista Afia observed that Ayew was not only handsome but also very attractive, which added to the admiration many Ghanaians had for the bravery he displayed in winning the match.
The celebrated vocalist shared a post on Facebook, stating, Such a fine man. Man of the match.”
Despite receiving a lot of criticism for his performances while wearing a Ghanaian shirt, the 32-year-old has excelled in his nation’s last two World Cup qualifying matches.
Following his 104th cap for Ghana in the match against CAR, the forward for Crystal Palace stated that his preferred position is number nine.
He did not hesitate to clarify, though, that he would always be willing to make sacrifices and play wherever he is welcomed without complaint.
“I’ve been playing out of position for quite some time in the national team and also at the club level. But I have always done my duty, put my country first, and never complained because I always give my all,” Ayew said.
“It’s difficult. It’s not something that I like to talk about, but obviously, my favorite position right from the academy, France, in the national team has always been as a number 9. But I understand because I have qualities that allow me to play in the pockets of spaces, and I don’t complain.”
Ayew is currently Ghana’s sixth-highest goal scorer of all time with 28 goals, trailing only Abdul Razak, Tony Yeboah, Abedi Ayew Pele, Kwasi Owusu, Edward Acquah, and Asamoah Gyan.
