Songne Yacouba has been dropped from Kotoko squad to face Hearts of Oak on Sunday, Kyfilla.com has learnt.

According to a report by Kumasi based Light FM, the 28-year old has been left out of the Porcupine Warriors travelling squad for the Accra trip.
The Executive Chairman of Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei disclosed that, the contract of the Burkina Faso international will not be renewed when it expires in April this year.

Yacouba was demanding for a whopping $150,000 before renewing his contract but Kotoko management refused.
Though it’s not yet known why his dropped out, rumours have it that, the recent response from the player’s agent, calling Dr. Kwame Kyei a liar, has culminated to the withdrawal of the player from the squad.

Songne Yacouba is yet to score for Kotoko in the ongoing Premier League campaign after five matches and is reportedly another reason why he might be left out of the squad.
