Ghanaian winger Fatawu Issahaku has been excluded from Sporting Lisbon’s squad for the preseason training camp in the Algarve, Portugal.
The Portuguese giants are considering selling the Ghanaian youngster in the ongoing transfer window. This is after failing to break into the senior team since his arrival.
Issahaku was not named in the 29-man squad for the preseason training camp because the club is willing to cash in on the Ghanaian prodigy in the ongoing transfer window.
He joined the club in early 2022 from Ghanaian lower-tier club Steadfast FC after showing glimpses of top performance. The Black Meteors star managed just 12 games for the senior team last season after rotating at the club.

Sporting Lisbon will sanction Issahaku’s transfer but will not accept offers below 15 million euros for the 2022 World Cup star. The club wants to keep 20% of a future sale and favors sales over loans.
Issahaku’s contract with the ‘Green and Whites’ expires on June 30, 2027.
He will train with the second squad when he returns to the European country after his holidays in Ghana.
