The Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Isaac Kwame Asiamah on Monday, 9th September, 2019, visited the Nyinahyin Sports Complex in the Ashanti region.
This was the second time, the sector minister had visited the site after cutting sod for the construction.

He was highly impressed with the kind of job the contractor has done and urged the rest of the contractors to emulate.
“This is my second visit, and I commend the contractor for his high sense of creativity, innovation and enterprise.
“I saw a huge challenge during the first visit but the contractor has turned the challenges to a golden opportunity. Am very excited with his high sense of creativity.
“Also am happy with the employment these multipurpose complexes are offering .
“With the completion of the the complex, school sports would be enhanced and the President believes in reviving sports across the country, because these complexes can host the regional sports festivals.
“The President wants to use sports as a tool in crime prevention, because sports is critical for national development.
“I will urge the various contractors to emulate what the Nyinahyin contractor has done, and am happy with the cooperation between the various contractors”, He concluded.

The 5,000- capacity sports complex will house a FIFA-standard football pitch, athletics tracks, court for volleyball and basketball, ICT and Counseling Centres, a restaurant and offices.
Present at the inspection exercise was the National Sports Authority boss Professor Peter Twumasi.
