The Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Isaac Kwame Asiamah has presented a cheque of GH¢30,000 to Black Maidens striker Mukarama Abdulai following her stellar performance in the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup held in Uruguay.
Mukarama Abdulai won the golden boot award in the tournament by scoring 7 goals in 4 matches and also won the bronze ball award for her spectacular performance even though Ghana were booted out in the knockout phase.
The sector minister on behalf of President Akufo-Addo, presented the cheque to the Northern Ladies forward today in Accra.
Mukarama Abdulai was part of the Black Queens team that placed third in the 2019 WAFU Zone Championship held in Ivory Coast where Nigeria’s Super Falcons were crowned champions.
