The Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has advised the 2019 year group of the Accra High School to abstain from social vices that could endanger their future.
Speaking at a farewell and induction ceremony on Tuesday for the graduates who completed the just ended West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at the school, the minister urged the graduates to stand firm and not fall prey to repercussions of peer group influence.
“I urged the SHS graduates to devoid of social vices such as armed-robbery, drug addiction and prostitution, the repercussions of peer group influence”, Honorable Asiamah advises.
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua who is a product of the school, entreated the newly inducted graduates to be driven by their passion with respect to career choices and also develop a positive mindset and optimism as they exit the school.
The headmaster of the school also advised the graduates
“The program was to say goodbye to our cherished students. They had comported themselves throughout their three-year stay in the school. So we thought it prudent to give them pieces of advice and encouragement that, they should not to rest on their oars in moving from one level to another.”
“We have inducted them into the old students association which we call them ‘Onukpai’. This is a tradition. So after ten years, we know that some will come and back to help their alma mater”, he added.
The graduates assured to adhere to the bunch of advices to be able to become respected and successful persons in the society.
