The Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Isaac Asiamah visited both the Black Stars and Meteors ahead of their qualifiers today.
Black Stars will face the Harambee Stars of Kenya in the last 2019 AFCON qualifiers tonight at the Accra Sports Stadium whilst Meteors will lock horns with their age mates from Gabon in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifier at the same venue this afternoon.
The sector minister visited both teams yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium as they prepare for the double header today at the nation’s capital, Accra.
Honorable Asiamah, in his speech, assured both teams of government unflinching support to display their character of resilience and excellence in football and wished them the very best in their respective matches today.
He however called on Ghanaians to rally behind the teams with their support in the team’s quest to bring honour to the country.
The captains of both teams, Andre Ayew and Isaac Twum thanked the sector minister for his visit and promised to make Ghana proud today.
