Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has vowed to restore Ghana sporting image in terms of all the sporting disciplines such as football, boxing, athletics and etc.
Speaking on Joy Sports, Mr Adams said Ghana’s recent abysmal performances in sporting events has raised an eyebrow on the need to revamp sporting disciplines in the country. He emphasized on the Black Stars inability to qualify for the AFCON and lack of boxing delegation during last year’s Olympics Games in Paris. He told Joy Sports,
“Our recent sporting performances highlight the urgency of this reset. Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco and our inability to send a single boxer to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games should not just be seen as disappointments but as a signal that our development system needs urgent attention.”
Ghana Black Stars are looking forward to qualify for the World Cup to specify Ghanaians for AFCON failure.
