Northern Regional Football Association chairman Abdulai Abu Alhassan has resigned from his position as head for the aforementioned association and also as Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association.

The promising football administrator announced his resignation through a statement released on Saturday 9th June, 2018 following his role in the recent expose put out by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, about corruption in the Ghanaian football.
He was seen in the documentary video as the middleman who set up the meeting between the supposed investors and the Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Abdulai resigned from his positions at the Ghana Football Association after his boss Kwesi Nyantakyi bowed out of his various roles both in Ghana, Africa and the world at large on Friday after an Emergency Committee.
