Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Joseph Hendricks has lauded the government decision of appointing two ex-footballers as interim Committee to oversee the affairs of the Ghanaian football.

According to the veteran footballer, its about time former footballers are made to run the Ghanaian footballing business instead of the usual faces seen at the helm of affairs.
Speaking to Sekondi based Radio Silver, the former Ashantigold defender commented that those handling the Ghanaian football are doing so for their own benefit but not the country and the well-beings of the players.
“I commend the government for such a decision because those who are handling our game currently are doing for their own benefit and its time that we wipe them out. The footballing business should be handed over to the former footballers who have seen it all”, he said.
The government of the Republic of Ghana have appointed three member Committee made up of Abedi Pele, Anthony Yeboah and Dr. Kofi Amoah to oversees the affairs of the Ghanaian football after banning the Ghana Football Association for 10 days from carrying any activities.

Meanwhile, Kwesi Nyantakyi has also resigned as the President of the above-stated association whereas the world football governing body FIFA have also slapped him with 90 days ban for corruption allegations mounted against him.
