St John’s School has snatched a slot to the quarter finals of the 2019 National Science and Maths Quiz opening a 10 points gap against second places Breman Asikuma Senior High School.
After a first round 14 points tie between St John’s School and Breman Asikuma SHS, it turned a different leaf when St John’s School led the preceding 4 rounds to win the contest by 10 points difference.
The victory came as a huge relief for Western Region following defeats to Fijai SHS, Fiaseman SHS and Daboase SHTS in the earlier competitions on Monday and Tuesday.
St John’s the only Western region school to compete on Wednesday gathered 42 points, followed by Breman Asikuma SHS with 32 points.
